Lost Lake Park in Whistler

Lost Lake Park provides a great alternative for guests looking to do more than just ski or mountain bike. The Nature Valley Trail, which runs throughout Whistler Blackcomb, is connected to the park’s trail system giving guests a peaceful & easy way to get in and out.

Summer Fun at Lost Lake Park

During the summertime, Lost Lake Park is the place to be. Sandy beaches, cool water, and miles of hiking/biking trails are all abundant during this time of the year.

There are two separate beaches along the shoreline of Lost Lake; the primary beach is large and features picnic tables, barbecue pits, washrooms, and an off-shore dock. This beach is also very close to the parking lot and primary entrance to the park.

The secondary beach is located west down the Lost Lake Loop. It features a newly built off-shore dock and can be seen from the primary beach making it easy to find. Travelers should be warned however, the second beach is clothing optional which might not be the best option for families with children. Families should also be cautioned that there are no active lifeguards on either beach; therefore parents are advised to keep a close eye on their children.

Lost Lake Park in the Winter

In the winter, Lost Lake Park transforms into a snow shoeing & cross-country skiing paradise due to its’ beautiful scenery and diverse trail system. The trails within Lost Lake Park vary with difficulty as they snake through separate parts of the parks’ terrain. The Lost Lake Loop Trail is the most popular trail as it circles the lake and is relatively easy to complete. This trail specifically is 32km in length and offers views of both Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain. Other popular trails include: Hydro Hill, Tin Pants, Les’ Leap, Vimy Ridge, and Poler’s Road.

Parking at Lost Lake Park

The parking lot at Lost Lake is extremely small and is often full. A more practical use for the parking lot is to use it as a drop off/unloading zone. We recommend guests park their vehicles at the Village Day Lots and walk down to the lake. Guests staying in developments within walking distance to the park won’t have to worry about parking.

Although some of Whistler’s amenities are only a brisk 5 minute walk away, the towering evergreen trees of Lost Lake Park ward off the outside world and provide a sense of tranquility & seclusion. This seclusion is what makes Lost Lake Park the perfect place to get away from it all.
