jobs abroad skiing
college admission?

I hope to be accepted into a prestigious university such as Penn, John Hopkins, Columbia, Stanford or (my first option.) I studied abroad for a summer in France, worked for a year, has been in the French club and ski club for four years, played piano for 12 years, children mentor for 2 years as a volunteer at a hospital for a year, and accumulated a lot of other volunteer hours. I have a 4.0 GPA with all honors classes. However, my advisor said that the lack of leadership (ivy league students who were the president of a club) could kill me in the admissions process. Is this true, do I still I have a chance? Furthermore, there is a job and mentoring as a leader? Please help me leadership with this thing, it really kill me? I do not do exceptionally well on the SAT, 1800. But in the ACT, I have a 33 of 36. Also, are there things that could do to strengthen my application you can think of?

I would not worry too much. Only based on his experiences in the hospital and as a mentor. My brother got Harvard University last year and had a similar average (94/100), which participated in the debate and football, but remained without leadership positions in school. Harvard, looked at his service to the community such as leadership, and continuity and dedication to a cause few show the persistence and passion. Stanford has a similar income, so I think we have a fair chance. A rec from someone in the hospital or in its mentoring program that can explain what he did and show their leadership would not hurt you, you should try to order one.
