Skiing West

Moving west, which skis to buy?
I'm moving off the east coast of British Columbia (Red Mountain) and I need to get new skis. I've never skied in the west so I'm a bit lost from the field and the snow is very different from what I'm used to. I am an expert skier advanced and preferred to ski bumps and clear for a boyfriend. Although I've never skied there, the place is supposed to be good for the powder and tree skiing, steep slopes, which is where I think I'll ski more. Probably not spend any time in the park. I'm 6ft1 and 190 lbs.
The K2 Apache Recon seems to be a reasonable choice exaggeration. It is designed for the depths and Red Mountain will get light snow quite often. I do not like to say that a ski suit will for all conditions, storms in this area of light pow dump, but the depth is not very fast ski. A wide all mountain ski with a flexible could be a good compromise. Whatever you choose, you need a versatile ski that suits your ability. I suggest you ask at local specialty stores, 180 to 190 and a link that can move the balance point can easily be something to consider. If you can do a demo of a couple of different pairs. Skiing has reached the point where where everything must match for the best performance. Binding ramp (delta) is critical to good skiing. Hope this helps. Visit the website K2.
