skiing mountains in colorado
skiing in Colorado for the first time?

Hello, Im looking for a place west of denver to sky. Im a beginer and I don’t want anything too expensive. Im just gonna be there for 1 night and the next i’ll drive west, so i need something close to I70. Any suggestions??

I was thinkign Arapahoe Basin is cheap and close , but I read that this is not a mountain for beginers, is this true?
thanks in adavance!

If you want cheap and solid head to Loveland. A busy day there isn’t going to be as busy as any directly in Summit County. Its also going to be the closest to Denver. A day ticket there is reasonably priced, the terrain on the front side of the mountain is more conducive to learning how to ride.

The Basin is OK but its steeper terrain and will get more traffic especially if you’re going up on a weekend.
