How to teach my dog how to swim?

Hes a 5 year old sch noodle whose never really went on trips. I’m taking him to a friends cabin where there boats and jet skis. I want to teach my little guy how to swim. He doesn’t like dog clothing will he like a life jacket?

A life jacket is good for 4 reasons:

Visibility – far easier to spot a bright orange life jacket than a natural colour dog. So he’s less likely to get lost or run over by a jetski (I’d still worry though)

Grab handle – how do you get a wet dog out of water if it’s not got a jacket with a grab handle on it’s back? Picking up by the collar and tail seems a bit harsh.

Bouyancy even if your dog can swim a jacket will make it float a bit higher so it’ll drink less water, and will be less tiring.

Cuteness – the dog will look so silly that strangers will normally become much more friendly.

Putting a life jacket on isn’t much worse than putting on a harness.
Warning lifejackets can get hot so don’t let him overheat.
