Several of my friends bring their children in the desert in December to dirt biking and camping are complaining about the cold. Well, here are some basic tips that IÂ've use when cold weather camping that will make your camping more enjoyable.

The obvious first tip is to carry warm clothes. So why am I mentioning this? Therefore, bring clothing youÂ'll! Wear gloves, ski jackets, hats, wool socks, long underwear, turtleneck shirts, sweatpants, sweaters and lots of clothes you can layer. Unlike summer camping where you can go with a couple of shirts and a pair of shorts. Plan more than cold weather package. As the old saying goes, Â "Ita's easier to put on clothes that have clothes that have Dona't! Â "

A hostel-Find a place to shelter your tent from winds. I know it can be difficult to do this in a desert, but try to camp on the edge of a dry lake bed, not in the middle. If the wind seems to come from a particular address, its vehicle to block the wind.

During the day keep warm by being active – hiking, dirt biking, etc. At night, when it's cold and sleep beacons you is when you need to be prepared.

A bed-sure to bring plenty of warm bedding. Usually taking a nominal 0A ° F sleeping bag, foam mattress, an extra blanket and a summer rated sleeping bag. Make sure you have plenty of padding between your sleeping bag and floor of your tent. If Dona't, cold ground will suck all the warmth of your body while you sleep! Burrrrr!

"Before I sleep go to bed, put on his long underwear, wool socks and a wool hat. Your body loses a lot of heat through your head uncovered. If you wake up cold, put the extra blanket or sleeping bag in the summer on top of you or another layer of clothing such as sweatpants and a sweatshirt. If you get too warm, vent your sleeping bag by opening the zipper, or to remove himself from his hat wool or a layer of clothing. The key is to keep warm, but not sweat. Perspiration will make you wet and cold. If this happens, remove his wet clothes and put some dry clothes and start again. ArenÂ't you glad now that brought a lot of clothes! :-)

Heat Â-a few tricks I use are the construction of a fire at night so that everyone can sit, chat and get toasted before going to bed. But also, while that the fire is burning, put a pot of water on the fire, not quite bring to boil, pour it into a canteen or bottle of heavy water stations and take her to bed with you to warm sleeping bag! In addition, ita always good to have a hot drink of cocoa or tea in bed before you put something hot in your body. But, you better get rid liquids before bedtime. There is nothing worse than waking up in the middle of a cold night to the call "of nature.Â" :-(

Hope these tips helpful and they feel comfortable enough to camp when the weather is cold. Try it! ItÂ's a great sense of accomplishment.
