Photography Advice Wanted :) ?

I just got back from vermont and have to send in my final portfolio for college admissions.. I am a 17 f and really looking for some serious suggestions & opinions of my work

I know that the pictures of the children skiing and the scenes from mt.snow are not that great but they are only posted for a family to see.

Thank You All!

I have heard the cropping of the heads comment a lot!! I kinda like it .. something that I have been doing for a while… does it make my images look unprofessional?

Wow, you have a good eye for a 17 year old. It’s kind of scary actually to think that this is what the younger generation of photographers is doing. You’re not just nipping at our heels, you’re passing some of us oldtimers out.

Some of my favorites from your Vermont uploads are

There is maybe just a little too much white space at the bottom and not enough sky and cloud above but it’s pretty nice. Makes me wonder what’s over that hill and has me thinking I should strap a snowboard on and check it out.

This appeals to me too. I’d probably want to crop it to be a wider and almost panoramic shot to remove a bit of the foreground emptiness.

Is a cute shot.

The spoonbills, haha, so Vermont ;-)

I think you’re doing a good job. To improve the shots think of how the framing and cropping could bring better attention to your subject or enhance the mood of the shots.
