My children are taking lessons in alpine skiing and Loving it! I'm thinking I should give it a try too …?

I tried to ski as 3 years ago and I did not realize until much later that I started on a slope that was not for beginners and never returned. My kids started school this year and absolutely LOVE it! I think I'll start taking lessons too, so I have something to do when children are on the slopes! I wonder how long ski rental would advise before buying. And when I go to buy, how can I tell what size to buy? There will most likely buy online cuz used and new ones are probably too expensive in my opinion. I really do not know anything about buying motorcycles, so all the help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Please and thanks!

You will be the coolest mom, this is an incredible thing to share with your children! Start by renting for the first year. Most ski areas have rental discounts if you come out with a learn to ski package or a 3-pack, or whatever your area offers skiing. Talk with someone in customer service, tell them exactly what you have said and see what we can hook you up with. Most ski areas now have very good rental days. Take classes. You will learn faster, safer and its ability to ski will be updated with their children in just a few visits. If you fear sure to tell your instructor. We also ask the instructor to show you where the hills are a beginner so you do not end up in the wrong place and you know where you can free ski with their children after school. If all goes well this first season (and will!) And then go to a reputable ski shop (do not buy in first line) and tell them you're a new skier who wants a ski to forgive and not want to spend a lot of money. Boots should be where you put your money. Your boots will last up to 3-4 pairs of skis and should be comfortable enough to wear all day. Make sure you can flex your ankle at the start, do not buy one that is too rigid to Flex. Do not buy a ski more than 180 cms. Length will be determined by your height and weight, not provided here. Many stores have the back room, ski equipment returned and you may be able to find something great and is used for half the price, so remember to do.
