Where is the closest place to the San Fernando Valley in California it's snowing.?
Less than 2 hours by car, please. Enough good to climb a hill and sledding. No big deal, as centers or resorts.
Palm Springs is my favorite. Enough roads or less all the way, a mountain road with lots of wind. You go a little to reach the cable car station, but is only a short straight. Then take the tram to the mountain station, I forgot how much they charge for the trip, which has a web site. Google "Palm Springs Aerial Tramway." Long Valley has tons of snow, it's beautiful up there. There is something up to go down in the valley of the mountain station and then back up to the station tram. So leave some in the tank at the end of the day to walk back to the station.
