Comments Off what is the snow forecast for colorado this year?
My mom completely thinks that this years snowfall will be low in colorado. Because she thinks that this year is not going to be a good ski season, she didnt buy us any ski passes, or clothes. She said that if i can find proof that this year there is going to be a normal amount of snow, she will buy us the ski stuff. So my question is, has there been any forecasts about the amount of snowfall this season in Colorado?
PS Last year was one of the best ski years ever, and it didnt snow until the beginnning of december! But it still hasnt snowed this year.
The official outlook does not favor one category over another as far as above, near or below average precipitation is concerned. Last year was a La Nina year which typically enhances precipitation over much of Colorado, which it did. La Nina has ended as of some months ago, but the atmosphere seems to still have some La Nina characteristics continuing. Thus while it does not look quite as snowy as last year based on that, there is also no real signal ongoing that shows any significant relation to the upcoming snow season there.
